Appointed as Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 2011 and Royal College of Surgeons Tutor in 2012.


  • Diagnose and treat full range of breast conditions including:
    • Complex Reconstructions
  • Undertake all types of cosmetic surgery including:
    • Breast Augmentation (Primary/Revisions)
    • Breast Uplifts
    • Breast Reduction
    • Male Breast Reduction

Actively involved in research having published over 40 papers in medical journals. Contributed to two books. Senior Editor for an 800 page “labour of love on breast surgery”.

Clinical Interests

Undergraduate medical training at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals (UMDS), (part of the University of London).

Graduated in 1997 with a First Class Honours Degree in Immunology and Triple Honours in Medicine, Surgery and Psychiatry.

Received Scholarships from Unilever, Smith and Nephew, U.M.B.S, The Wolfson Foundation and The Draper’s Company.

Post-graduate surgical training on the St Mary’s Hospital rotation and higher surgical training on the South East Thames surgical rotation receiving Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S) in 2001 and Fellowship (F.R.C.S) in 2009.

In my final year of training, I was selected to undertake an internationally competitive Oncoplastic Fellowship which exposed me to a variety of plastic surgery techniques which have been invaluable in my consultant practice. I was also awarded the Ronald Raven travelling Scholarship by the Royal College of Surgeons.

Personal Profile

I live on the south coast of England with my wife where we have two boys and two girls between us. In my spare time, I enjoy writing (and sometimes performing) medical comedy, socialising, keeping fit and attempting to keep my head above water managing the children with varying degrees of success!
